Petite family sessions are a great option if you’re not quite ready for a full in-home experience. These 30-minute sessions take place at select outdoor locations in Seattle, chosen from a curated list of my favorite spots to ensure a beautiful and relaxed setting. Designed to capture meaningful moments in a shorter timeframe, these sessions are scheduled for late morning or early afternoon." "Your session includes 25 high-resolution images delivered through a private online gallery, where you can view, download, and even order custom prints or albums. A $300 deposit is required at the time of booking, and a print release is included. Please note that petite sessions are available exclusively at outdoor locations.

In-home family sessions are designed to document the beauty of your everyday life in a way that feels real, connected, and uniquely yours. These 60-minute sessions take place in the comfort of your home, capturing candid, meaningful moments that reflect your family’s story. Based in Seattle and serving families across Puget Sound, I typically schedule in-home sessions for late morning around 11 a.m. to take advantage of the best natural light." Your session includes 65+ high-resolution images delivered through a private online gallery, where you can view, download, and even design custom prints or albums if you choose. A digital download and print release are included, and a $300 deposit is required at the time of booking.

Can I schedule a full hour session at an outdoor location?

Yes! Full family sessions on location are a lot of fun. This is an opportunity to select a location that is meaningful to you and your family or to get creative about a location to hold a session. I have a list of favorite Seattle locations in urban as well as park areas. I have even held a session in a coffee shop. If you have a spot in mind and want to know if we can hold a session there, contact me here and I would love to talk more about your vision!

Do you offer print products or albums and how do I order?

Absolutely! Family photography is so important to preserve in physical memories you can see on your wall and hold in your hands.

I have made it simple to order print products directly through your gallery. Once you receive your gallery, you will see a “shop” tab at the top. There you can scroll through and see your gallery images from your family ession displayed as examples for a wide variety of print products, albums, and enlargements.

What if we don’t have a lot of natural light in our home?

This is a question I get often for in home sessions in the Pacific Northwest. When I come to your home for a family session we will use different types of light available to make sure that we are able to get beautiful images of you and your loved ones in your space. I just need a big window or two. Any room will do and kitchens or entryway spaces can be beautiful light filled spaces for families to gather. I will get creative with the light on hand and I have a lot of experience and the correct gear to capture beautiful moments in your own home. I schedule in home family sessions earlier in the day (between 11am and 1pm) to utilize the sun being high in the sky.

How long will it take to receive my gallery from a family session?

For a family session, your gallery will be ready two weeks after your session date. At this time you can download, share, and order prints or wall art.

What should we wear for our family sessions?

Choosing what to wear for your family session can feel overwhelming, but I’m here to help make it simple. Whether you want to coordinate outfits or keep things casual, I’ll provide inspiration and guidance to help you feel comfortable and confident. After booking, you’ll receive a client welcome email with tips and resources, and I’m always available to answer any specific questions to ensure you’re ready for your session. How do you make kids feel comfortable during an in-home session?

I believe that kids are naturally more relaxed at home and that is one of the main reasons I love to photograph families in their own space. I want to capture your family authentically and if everyone is comfortable, it shows. When I come to your home I will take a couple of moments to say hello to kids, introduce myself, and let them know why I am there. Sometimes I show them my gear or ask them to show me a toy or book that they love. Often kids need a little time to warm up to having photos taken and I make sure to start with capturing parents and kids together first. I truly enjoy working with kids and families and my experience has taught me how to keep in mind the needs or different personalities of my youngest clients while making sure the session is fun for everyone.

We have a photography session booked for our home, how should we prepare?

In-home family sessions are unlike anything else—there’s a unique magic to capturing your family in your own space. These sessions have a natural, storytelling feel that reflects the connections and moments that make your home special. Children, especially, feel comfortable and at ease, allowing their personalities to shine in a familiar environment. Preparing for these sessions is simple. I recommend tidying a few key spaces with good window light, such as the living room, bedrooms, or other areas where your family spends the most time. The kitchen makes a great space for everyone to gather while an entryway or stairs can be a cozy place, too. After booking, you’ll receive a client welcome email with tips to help you prepare both your family and your home for a relaxed, meaningful session. When you book a family session, you will get a welcome packet with additional tips and information on how to prepare. You can also check out my blog for help on that topic.

What about including dogs and pets in sessions?

Yes! Pets are our family and I love to include them sessions. I actually have more families that include their pet in their family sessions than do not. I have dogs of my own and am very comfortable working with them to make sure we can include them in some of your images.
