It would be difficult to find a more “Seattle” location to have senior photos taken. This family houseboat was the perfect spot to document these high school graduates!

These two high school Seniors booked me to take their individual graduation photos, as well as some of them together as a couple. Their moms were there too, wine in hand, enjoying the beautiful evening. I wish them all the luck in the next phase, off to play their sports at different (but not too far away from each other :) colleges in the Fall!

As a family and newborn photographer in Seattle, I have had the opportunity to meet my clients in some amazing homes. I have documented time together from houseboats to farms and even a home with a Pete Nelson (Treehouse Masters) tree house located in the backyard. You can check out some of the images from that session here. Photographing people in their space will always be my favorite. I love a beautiful beach or park just like anyone else, but there is something more personal about photos at home. Kids are more relaxed, which means parents are more relaxed. Our homes are a reflection of us. Home is where the everyday moments happen and where so much of our life as a family is lived. A photo session should be something everyone in the family looks forward to. My approach to a family session at home is the same as a newborn, a senior, or couples session. I am there to dive in, show you the beauty in your family as you are, tell your story, and leave you more in love with the phase you are in and the life you are creating with your people.
